Welcome to the landing page for my YouTube channel FENNEL TAVERN!
FENNEL TAVERN is a single-player, community-driven, interactive YouTube series that combines real cooking (with recipes taken from the three official D&D cookbooks!), hand-drawn (no AI!!) pixel art, and RPG-style scenarios. Viewers can play along with each three-minute episode at home using a twenty-sided die (d20). The story follows the main character, Tav, a half-elf who has left home and moved to the rural community of Undercliff (located just outside the walls of Underdeep) to run their own tavern. This is despite having no prior experience in the industry (let alone any cooking skills beyond a fried egg!).
The aim of the game is to gain XP from buying, selling, and trading food items; interacting with NPCs who visit the tavern and letting your d20 determine if it’s a friendly or hostile encounter. My long-term, hopeful, goal is to create a sense of community in the YouTube comments section and improve my own cooking skills alongside Tav!
I plan to upload an episode to my YouTube channel every Wednesday at 4pm (EST). I have annotated a calendar below with my release days (as well as important dates and festivals for Waterdeep based on the Calendar of Harptos).
